Nowadays potential candidates can instantly recognise when being contacted in vague or mass approach manner. As a result they do not feel personally addressed and hence do not respond.

Based on my years of experience in communicating with candidates, it is crucial that I prepare myself carefully for every single person I approach. This means that I absorb each person's profile, background, career, as well as skills and competences.
